What if I load > 4,000 cells per μL onto the cartridge?

An increased cell loading concentration, above 4,000 cells per μL, likely leads to a non-poisson loading of cells, which may result in an increased number of drops containing more than one cell (e.g., multiplets). 

Challenges

  • Tapestri Pipeline is optimized to process up to 10,000 barcodes that are associated with cells. An increased number potentially leads to run errors.
  • An above-average number of multipliers, more than 8 %, may impact downstream analysis. No trivial approaches exist to assess cell mixing rates.
