Why do I see many low-frequency variants in the “On-target variant distribution” plot for my negative control sample?

These are likely false positive events that arise due to errors either during PCR amplification or sequencing. We are currently working on implementing better filtering algorithms to reduce such events. Please interpret events that are present in less than 0.5% of the cells with caution.
