Which variants can be detected?

Tapestri Designer can target single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and insertions or deletions (indels) up to 80 bp in length. Larger deletions result in short amplicons that risk performance. For larger deletions, consult support@missionbio.com.

Be aware that the exact location of the breakpoints must be identified. Similarly, gene translocations can potentially be included in a custom panel only if the exact location of the translocations is known. Gene fusions are typically not possible to detect due to the variability of the fusion site.
